Startups.com Acquires StartupDelight

Monday, October 31, 2011 – Startups.com is pleased to announce that we have acquired StartupDelight.

Members of StartupDelight will now join our Startups.com Community, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome them and let them know how glad we are that they have joined us. For those of you who are unfamiliar with StartupDelight, some background info:

“StartupDelight was hatched from the nerdy love of collecting various promotional items combined with the love of startup logos. Founded in March 2011, StartupDelight was kick-started by two Texas State University graduates excited about new ways of exploring startup life through special, unique opportunities. The company is based out of San Marcos, Texas, located 15 minutes from the ever-booming tech corridor of Austin. 

Our goal as a business was to harmonize the shopping and advertising experience by creating a community that was both rewarding to consumers and merchants.  From the beginning, our intent was to create unique promotional offers that featured daily deals from startups such as private dinners and company tours to unique, one-of- a-kind startup products.”

The more people we have in our community, the better Deals we are going to be able to get on the apps, services, and tools we need to grow our businesses.

My good friend, Andrew Warner, interviewed me for his website, Mixery.com on Friday. It was a great experience. I’ve know Andrew for years and it was a lot of fun to talk through a bit of my own history in the world of startups and entrepreneurship with him.

We’re Glad the World Didn’t End…

We’re glad the world didn’t end last week so that we can continue bringing you great Deals for website owners. Before we move forward, we want to take a quick look back at where we’ve been this first week and a half…

We’ve gotten tons of great feedback from the community about the stuff you’ve liked, and the stuff you haven’t and that’s been really fantastic. Some folks wrote us with ideas for the site in general and others wrote us with Deal ideas.

We wanna say thanks to each and every person who has taken the time to send us your thoughts.

Your feedback and suggestions are what is going to help us move forward with getting you the absolute best deals to help you drive your business.

Our Gift Rapped Deal last week seems to have been everyone’s favorite so far. I don’t know about you guys but the “Happy Birthday Lenny” video really endeared that Deal to us “cuz his style is crazy, just check out the feet!”
