The iPad 2 – Not Just a cool Gadget, it’s a Powerful Business Tool
If you’ve been considering buying the folks in your office an iPad 2, it’s probably a pretty solid business investment. With the array of apps and features to the newest iPads, they not only make worked happier, but businesses more profitable as well. Our favorite iPad Apps for Startups and Small Businesses:
- Facebook – the free app that gives you access to Facebook. Obviously with a small business, you gotta get on Facebook for those all important social networking moments.
- TweetDeck – great for your marketing genius moments with Twitter
- WordPress – blog and manage your WordPress sites from anywhere
- Photoshop Express – edit your photos for WordPress, Twitter, Facebook and more with this simple photo editing app
- Pomodoro – potentially the greatest iPad app for tracking and productivity
- Dropbox – killer for file access with in-the-cloud backup. It gives you mobile access to the files you need and allows for file syncing between computers
- Omnioutliner – pretty much what it sounds like, this app helps you organize your thoughts and plan stuff. You can collect, compose, and rearrange text. This app helps you keep your notes neat and organized
- Ego – the appropriately (and humorously) named app for stat checking. Now you can check a variety of metrics all in one place including Google Analytics, Feedburner and more.
- Goodreader or iAnnotate PDF – ebook readers apps that are great for business owners. Obviously there are tons of e-reading apps out there but if you’re like me, you wanna highlight important points and create notes that you can come back to later. That is, of course, unless you have a photographic memory… in which case… bravo.
- Instapaper – processing information is obviously very important to any business. I love this app because whenever I find something I’d like to read but not at that particular moment, I send it to “read later” and it’s archived for me to check out later.
- Calcbot – this fun little app is basically a big calculator. Not impressed? Well it also keeps a sort of virtual tape of all of your calulations that you can even email to yourself (which is super cool)
- Ideabook – (previously called Ideawell) – helps you enter, track, rate and even visualize your ideas about potential, innovation, uniqueness, and simplicity
- Plaintext – great for a basic writing app. I generallyd don’t use my iPad for large documents or presentations, so I don’t need an over-stuffed wosrd processing app. Plaintext is perfect for jotting down all the little thoughts and ideas I need to write somewhere (other than the palm of my hand)
Working on the go has never been so easy. Now you can handle your web content, employee management, customer service, marketing and more all from your iPad.
And honestly here, working on the go has also never been so fun.
